Sunday poor little A was rushed to hospital in an ambulance, which was all very dramatic, as she had severe breathing difficulties. Several sessions on a nebuliser and a night in a hospital bed later, she was allowed home. The good thing to come out of this is that they have finally decided to give her treatment as this has been an ongoing problem and so I really hope this is the last trip to hospital we have with her like this.
Monday was spent mostly waiting for consultants and nurses in the hospital as they said that A was well enough to go home, but it always takes forever. When we got home, I picked these lovely doughnuts as we all needed a bit of a pick me up and they went down very well, I can tell you.
Tuesday and daddy went back to work. It was the last day of the holidays for the boys and so we had a friend around to play and didn't do a lot. We did manage an hour at the park and R spent most of that on the monkey bars; his favourite.
Wednesday was back to school and poor A was lost without her brothers all day. When they came home, she wouldn't leave them alone.
Thursday, A was much better and we had to go and do some present shopping as we have lots of birthdays this month. It was lovely to have a bit of 'girlie' time as we haven't done this for ages. We stopped off at a cafe and then had an hour in another park which was lovely as it was such gorgeous weather.
Friday, we are all back into a routine now and the boys were very chatty over breakfast about their new class room and teachers. Apparently they love school ... for now anyway.
Saturday and the boys both have their first football matches of the season. For L this is his first season of matches which is lovely apart from the fact that it means mummy and daddy will now be going off in separate directions every Saturday morning.
The doughnuts look excellent therapy after a stressful week. Glad she is now ok though!!
ReplyDeleteYou have crammed plenty in! Glad A is feeling better
ReplyDeleteGlad A is better - must have been a worry. x
ReplyDeleteGlad A is feeling better, its awful when they are poorly x
ReplyDeleteGlad A is feeling better and you've enjoyed some girlie time- sounds like to turned the week around amazingly!
ReplyDeleteSo glad she is better now xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a stressful week for you all. Poor A, glad shes on the mend.
ReplyDeleteOh yes I remmeber your hospital tweets now! I am so relieved for you that A is better and will hopefully be given the proper medication to treat her. You don't want nights like that very often.
ReplyDeleteAnd those doughnuts would certainly pick me up a teat lol
Lovely photos xx
glad little miss A is better, and hopefully you get some treatment for her to help prevent another episode,my eldest is asthmatic and had was admitted to hospital several times under the same circumstances before we were given inhalers on repeat but since we got the asthma diagnosis we've pretty much managed his asthma fine :)
ReplyDeleteOh I feel for you. We had that for 18 months with GG. She was our first child and I was terrified. "Bronchiolitis" they said, every time we went in for nebulisers and steroids, we were there every 6 weeks with every little virus.
ReplyDeleteShe now has a steroid inhaler, and fingers crossed, we haven't been back there in 5 years. Hope you get her settled down soon
Oh my those doughnuts look good! Glad A is feeling better, and that you're finally going to get some help for her.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that A is on the mend and getting treatment finally :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the look of those doughnuts but my favourite is the boys at breakfast - so casual!
Poor A - and poor you. Frustrating when nothing is done until a child gets rushed to hospital by ambulance. But sounds like your week got better. Thank heavens. You have beautiful children x
ReplyDeleteOh poor you - at least it sounds like something good has come from the trip to hospital and it looks like the rest of the week made up for it. It's always good to hear that your kids are enjoying school too!
ReplyDeleteGosh, what a week. Glad to hear A finally receiving treatment but glad the rest of the week looked up. Good that there's so much excitement about going back to school!
ReplyDeleteFantastic pictures!! Love the last one of the boys xx
