When the Hot Wheels Wall Tracks Power Tower set arrived from Mattel, there was an audible gasp of appreciation from all three of my children and they were all quite enthusiastic about trying it out.
My first concern was the fact that it went on the wall. I never find toy building easy and I was very curious to see if I could actually build it and how it would go on the wall. Well, the instructions were relatively easy to follow and with a little help from R we put it together. I definitely recommend two people for the job as it does make it easier. It comes with a poster, which is really clever as not only does it provide a cool background for the set, there are gaps to show where you to fix the brackets to the wall. The brackets fix on using adhesive pads and there are also a spare set if you need to move it. The nice thing is that the adhesive pads are really easy to use and are surprisingly strong; plus they won't damage the wall.
The set slots easily onto the brackets once you have added the batteries and you are ready to play. The set itself only comes with one car, which is the only negative thing that I would say about it. Luckily, we dug out a few old Hot Wheels cars that we already had and away we went.
The tower itself has an elevator in the middle, which turns around and lifts the cars to the ramp at the top and the cars can then go off in two different directions and whizzes down and you have to see if the car will make it through the jaws of the chomping monster or hit by the moving saw. This set is aimed at children over five and although A; who is nearly three, loves it and has probably played with it the most, she does have a tendency to lean on it, which I have to watch as she would pull the whole thing down.

We loved it. It is a brilliant set and we would definitely recommend it as a great present for any fans of Hot Wheels this Christmas.
We were sent the Hot Wheels Wall Tracks Power Tower for the purposes of this review. All opinions given are entirely honest.

That's a really cool toy, my brother's been bugging me about it for months. He was really excited too when it could be attached to the wall. Like your boys, he was really enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteCOOL toy! My son would go nuts over this.
