i-pic Personalised Photo Frame Review

i-pic

As you will probably worked out if you follow this blog, I do rather like taking photos.  I have always loved taking photos, but since starting the 365 project last year, I have taken hundreds of photos.  That is all well and good; I have hundreds of photos of days out, play at home, holidays, rainy days, you name it, but they are all sat on my computer as I have so many, I have never got the time to sort through them and print them out.  So when the chance to review i-pic, I jumped at the chance as that would at least be one photo from the last year on display.

i-pic is a website where you choose a photo of your choice and it is embedded into a robust, themed photo frame which can be personalised front and back with messages of your choice.  The A5 photo frames can then be used as a magnet or as a traditional photo frame as it comes with a separate peg that can be easily inserted into the back of the frame ans enables it to stand up.

The finished product
Using the site couldn't be simpler.  Firstly, you decide whether to use one of the large range of themed frames that are available or alternatively you can design your own using their painter tool.  Once that is decided, you upload your image.  Decide if and what message you would like on the front and back, preview your finished frame and pay.  I found the site really easy to use and what was even more impressive was that my frame arrived the following day.

Buttons design
It did take me a long time which photo to choose, but I settled on one of my favourite photos of the three younger children from Legoland last year.  As I had every intention of keeping the frame for myself, I simply wrote Legoland Summer 2012 on the front as it seemed like a nice reminder of when and where we were when the photo was taken.

The peg is easily placed in the back to make the stand

The possibilities are endless with this as there are so many themes to choose from and you even have the option to 'metalise' your frame if you want to, for a small additional cost.

I am thrilled with the final product.  It is bright, robust and the children love it.  I have opted to use it as a traditional frame as my fridge is low down and so the photo would never be seen if I put it there.  The prices start at £14.99 and delivery is an additional £2.50.  This would make a lovely present and it is certainly a great last minute present as the delivery is very quick.  If you were looking for a present for a specific birthday or anniversary, you can put any message on the front or back which I think would make it a really special gift.

I was sent an i-pics personalised frame free of charge for the purposes of this review.  All images and opinions are my own.
